The Lagos State Chapter of the City Boy Movement is set to inaugurate its State Executive Council on Tuesday as part of efforts to strengthen youth leadership, civic engagement and grassroots mobilization across the state.
The inauguration ceremony, scheduled to hold at Marcellina’s Place, beside Radisson Blu Hotel, 36 Isaac John Street, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, will commence at 10:00 a.m., with a red carpet reception beginning at 9:30 a.m.
According to the organisers, the event will mark the formal swearing-in of the newly constituted Lagos State Executive Council and signal the commencement of a new phase in the movement’s activities aimed at promoting purposeful leadership and community development.
The programme will feature keynote addresses by distinguished guests, the unveiling of the Lagos State 2026–2027 Strategic Agenda, and a panel discussion on the theme, “The Role of Youth in Shaping Lagos and Beyond’s Future.”
A media chat and photo session with the movement’s leadership and invited dignitaries will also form part of the day’s activities.
In a statement issued ahead of the event, the City Boy Movement described the inauguration as a significant milestone in its commitment to empowering young people to play active roles in governance, public service and nation-building.
The organisation said it remains dedicated to building a better society through leadership development, community service and citizen participation, urging stakeholders, youth groups and members of the media to be part of the occasion.
With the theme, “Mobilizing the Future, Leading With Purpose,” the movement said the inauguration reflects its vision of nurturing a new generation of responsible leaders capable of contributing meaningfully to the development of Lagos State and Nigeria.
